Date Night on Newcastle Quay

Michael and I went out last Friday evening for a date night, and had a lovely few hours out around Newcastle Quay.  I snapped a few pictures! 😀

A Positive Day — March 18, 2016

A Positive Day

Today has been what I would call, a positive day.  I have started to make a couple of small changes in my daily routine that I aim to continue, and with the weekend looming, I am looking forward to a couple of work-free days as well.

Yay! 🙂

The first change I am looking to make is to start doing my physiotherapy exercises for my upper back and right hand shoulder again.  When things really started to get tough for me and motivation was becoming increasingly harder to find, it was one of the first things “to go”.  And after a couple of months, I am really starting to notice the difference.

The second change is to my morning food routine.  I was reading a Bustle article about morning habits that help you feel more energized in the morning.  One thing was to make a large drink of lemon water the first thing you consume on a morning, and to wait at least 15 minutes before eating any food.  Another was to wait until after food before you drink your morning coffee.  So…that’s what I am going to do.  Lemon water every morning first thing, then food, and then (and only then), a coffee or a tea.

There are a couple more points in the article that I may try to bring into my daily routine, such as stretches, but one thing at a time.  Rome wasn’t built in a day.

After work this evening, I planned my outfit for tomorrow.  Tomorrow is haircut day!  All things going to plan, I am popping into Newcastle with Megan for breakfast, shopping, and of course my hair appointment.  And I get to give this wonderful new dress from Joe Brown’s it’s first wear:

Isn’t it wonderful?  I absolutely adore the print, especially how it gradients from quite an almost monochrome look on top, to the bright colourfulness of the print as you reach the bottom hem.  I am such a sucker for a floral, and this particular floral is nothing like anything else in my wardrobe.

I have an early start tomorrow, so I think it’s bedtime for me.
