Pushing Beyond My Comfort Zone — May 2, 2015

Pushing Beyond My Comfort Zone

43 days ago, I took a day trip to meet the wonderful and talented Julie (Bequirkybeyou). She approached me to ask if I would be willing to model for her, in a shoot that would include tasteful, artistic nudity.

I thought it through, and I decided to say yes.  I saw this as an opportunity to push past my comfort zone, and to be a true test of my body positivity journey.  Could I handle the prospect of my naked form being on display for all to see?

Getting myself a bikini body :-) — March 21, 2015

Getting myself a bikini body :-)

I’m sure most of us have seen the following body positive mantra by now:

“To get a bikini body….put a bikini on your body!”

PS4L London Meetup! — January 28, 2015

PS4L London Meetup!

As I have likely mentioned before, I am a dedicated pizzasister4lyfe.  I found the hashtag on Instagram mid last year, joined the fun, and never looked back.

For those who are not aware, the pizzasisters4lyfe are all about 3 things, self love, body positivity, and of course, pizza!

So I went to the Megabus website, and looked up ticket prices.  To get two overnight buses would cost me a grand total of £13, with a 50p booking fee.

Decision made…London baby here I come!

Unsymmetrical

When I started this blog, it was always with the goal that I would talk about body positivity as well as fashion.

This is the first post that I will actually do this in, and I want to start with something very close and important to me.

Symmetry. How many of us are truly symmetrical? Logically, I know the answer to this question is very few of us. It can however, be very hard to believe this fact when each and every day, we are bombarded with photo-shopped images of women and men, altered to make the subject appear as perfect as they can be.

Unrealistically perfect.

Beauty lies everywhere. It lies in our imperfections as much if not more so than in the features that we consider perfect. This is a concept I have had, and still have trouble accepting and believing. Still, I try.

One area of my body that has been a source of angst for me since I was in my teens is my chest, or in other words, my breasts.

The rest of this post discusses breasts and includes a photograph of mine; my modesty is retained but I would still consider this a NSFW post.
